“Someday Soon”
Re 22:7
Behold, I come quickly: blessed is he that keepeth the sayings of the prophecy of this book.
Re 22:12
And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.
Re 22:20
He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus.
Intro:
This past month has been a month of hurricanes, destruction, earthquakes and death.
All across the globe we are hearing of death, bombings, murder, hatred, envy, and perilous acts.
LUKE 17: 26-31
What is going on??
Why is this world getting worse and worse?
I have some great news! Jesus is even at the door. His coming is nigh!
We will soon see the one who died for us. Isn’t that exciting ?!
NO. No it is not. In fact, it is scary. We are going to give an account of everything we have or have not done.
When Jesus comes and splits those eastern skies, He is coming for his own, the children of God, the redeemed of all the ages. He Is coming in the time that we know not. Coming to snatch us out of this world. We will be instantaneously re-united with those who have died in Christ, in the air. We will instantaneously appear before the BEMA seat, The Judgment seat of Christ. To give an account of all that we have done as believers in our body.
2Co 5:6- 11 Therefore we are always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord: (For we walk by faith, not by sight:) We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.
Wherefore we labour, that, whether present or absent, we may be accepted of him. For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad. Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men; but we are made manifest unto God; and I trust also are made manifest in your consciences.
Are you really ready to face God?
As a Christian, are you honestly living the best you can? Is there sin that you are practicing in? Are there unconfessed sins? Is there something that you have not done that you know you are supposed to be?

When I worked at the juvenile facility, I gave a couple of the employees under me a group of offenders to watch in a class. All they had to do was make sure they were not misbehaving. I left. I told them I would be back. I gave them a radio, keys and the promise that I will be back.
When I returned, I found the employees off post. The classroom was erupted into a fight. I had caught the workers slacking. They were doing something other than what I instructed them to do.
We have been caught doing the same thing. We were given a simple yet important directive. We are sleeping at the wheel. We are slacking in our responsibility.
MATTHEW 25:14- 30
God has given each of us certain gifts/talents. We are all held accountable to use them for his Glory. God will judge us by our works for rewards.
“aw pastor, I will be glad just to be in heaven.” HA!
God is going to judge you according to your lifestyle. How shameful to not want to live your life, not to bring honor and Glory to God. How terrible to face a scorners shame?!
Jesus is coming soon. Rewards will be given. Rewards are being lost now by non- commitment and disobedience of the things of God; How sad.
Will I wish I had given him all?
As millions of believers throughout the ages receive their just rewards, some will have nothing. Nothing to lay down at Jesus’ feet.
Looking at the martyrs of old, lining up to lay down their rewards at the nail scarred feet of Jesus. Those who gave their life to preserve the word of God that we throw on the coffee table, rip, leave in car, etc.
The rewards are nothing of personal gain. They will be cast back at the feet of Jesus.
Re 22:12
And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.
Are you ready to face Jesus? If he were to come back right now, are you ready?
Church member, are you out of place? Wish you could do something?
Men are you leading the home? Are you active in the church like you should be?
Women, are you submissive? Are you doing as you should? Are you faithful? Is there something you are holding back?
Are we living right? Are we living a holy life?
What would you change?
If Jesus were to come today, would you be ready?
Sinner, would he be coming for you??
ARE YOU READY FOR ETERNITY?
Re 22:20
He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus.
HAVE I DONE MY BEST FOR JESUS?
